I wish to apply for membership in the Clan Gregor Society, Pacific Northwest Chapter, Inc. My application is in accordance with Qualification Rule #________________(See below for qualification). I agree to pay the annual dues in the amount of $34.00 single or $68.00 family (which includes all children under 18), upon admission. Clan Gregor fiscal year is 1 January through 31 December. Renewals are due between 1 September and 31 December for the following calendar year. Membership in the parent organization, Clan Gregor Society of Scotland, is included in this fee. PLEASE NOTE: If I become more than 90 days in arrears in payment of my annual dues, I understand my status will be changed to INACTIVE and I will cease receiving the Newsletter and all Clan communications. I am aware that only ACTIVE Membership status is eligible to vote on Clan business at the Annual General Meeting. I am also aware that the portion of my annual dues remitted to the parent society in Scotland must be forwarded by the local Chapter to be received by Scotland no later than 31 March of each year.

Qualifications of Members and their Domission

I.Ladies and gentlemen who bear, or assume as surname, one or the other of the names of the Clan, in whichever manner such names be spelled.
II.Ladies of the Clan by birth or adoption who, before marriage, bore, one of the names of the Clan.
III.Ladies and gentlemen who do not bear on of the names of the Clan but one whose ancestors was a member of Clan Gregor.
IV.Ladies and gentlemen who do not meet any of the qualifications set forth above but who are connected with, or friendly to, the Clan, the Society, any of it's Chapters or Branches, or who make donations to, or in other ways donate their services for, the Clan, Society, or any of it's Chapters or Branches. They may be elected Honorary Members on the decision of Council but they shall not be entitled to take part in the deliberations of the Society, Chapter or Branch, or management of its affairs.

The Clan Gregor Society, instituted in 1822, is one of the oldest clan Societies. Today the Society is a growing organization with membership throughout the world. Its most active objectives are to extend the kinship and friendship between MacGregors wherever they may be and to provide a focal point for all members of the Clan and, indeed interested visitors who wish to learn more of our past. The Society promotes and encourages research into Clan Gregor and the publication of information pertaining to its history, traditions and genealogy.

The Society extends a warm welcome to persons bearing names included in List A and to those with a maternal descent from an eligible person. Persons bearing the names of descent from Lists B and C who can show evidence of descent or a family tradition of MacGregor connection are also eligible for membership. Names in List D are properly the domain of other Clan and Family societies, however we would welcome enquiries from persons bearing these names who can show their descent from a MacGregor who adopted the name as an alias.
